Weekly parkruns

Parkrun is a free, weekly 5km community event held every Saturday morning in parks worldwide, designed for people of all abilities to walk, jog, run, or volunteer.
Parkrun has become a staple of the running week for many members of the club. There are a number of local parkruns frequented by Z2H members, either as runners, volunteers or both. Any Saturday usually finds approximately 120 Z2H members running, walking or volunteering at a parkrun in around 20 different venues. The majority take part at Bromley parkrun but there are other popular local parkruns with some members even completing parkruns overseas.

These are some of our local favourites

Bromley parkrun

This is the fastest parkrun locally if you are looking for a PB. In the winter run mostly on tarmac and in summer on grass.

Beckenham Place parkrun

An undulating one lap around Beckenham Place Park on both sides of the railway. It is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, gravel paths and grass

Sutcliffe parkrun

3 laps on a mixture of tarmac and gravel around the perimeter of the Nature Reserve.

South Norwood parkrun

2 clockwise laps of on a mixture of trail paths and grass. Can get muddy!

Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun

2 undulating anticlockwise laps on grass around the perimeter of fields. It gets very muddy in the winter
Approximately once a month the club encourage club members to try a parkrun a little further afield, which can easily be accessed by public transport or car. These parkrun ‘away days’ are advertised on the club’s Facebook page.
